Steve Wozniak expressed his negative stance on the lawsuit between Samsung and Apple.

Wozniak visited Korea to give a lecture for "Innobiz Global Forum 2012" which took place in Daejeon.

He said on 23rd at a press conference during the Forum, "I think poorly of patent. Pantent is being overused."

He shared his memory that he offered the design of Apple Ⅰ without any patent restriction. He said, "Apple Ⅰ was at that moment a new type of computer with keyboards and display like the computers now. I provided this design without restrictions, and the world wanted to have this design." He added "Patent is being overused, and many companies are limited by the patent law to produce the same products continually."

He said he thinks that the big companies like Apple, Samsung, Microsoft, Nokia would continue the lawsuits that cost billions because they can afford it.

Recently, Gee Sung Choi, the vice chairman of Samsung Electronics and Tim Cook, the CEO of Apple had a two-day meeting to resolve the lawsuit between the two companies. However, the meeting ended without any results.
