The production is on for "Our Brand is Crisis" starring Sandra Bullock. E! reports that the start date has been rescheduled so she can go to George Clooney's wedding.
At 50, the Academy award winning actress, who sported blonde mane as she went on the set of the movie in New Orleans, Louisiana, is still a star who shines very brightly. She was recently named Forbes magazine's highest-earning actress. Her biggest gain came from her film "Gravity", which grossed $716 million worldwide and won seven Oscars.
She was in her 40s when Bullock-starrer movies broke all box office records - "The Proposal" and "The Blind Side", where she grabbed her first Academy Award for Best Actress. Despite her breakup with former husband Jesse James, she remained positive and happy with her adopted son Louis.
After every passionate scene in "Gravity", director Alfonso Cuaron gives her a short break and 'refresher' - her son.
"So the next thing I know, my sweet son's face would come up in the small window in the light box. That sweet little face, painfully contorting to the horrific images of his mother strapped and bound in this ugly, ugly machine, wearing pieces of an outfit that resembled marshmallows. And those are images and damage that he and I will have to address years from now. But Alfonso meant well. He meant well," she said in an article by ABC News.
In her comeback movie "The Heat", she again proved her box-office ability. Will the industry see another record-smashing film in "Our Brand is Crisis because of Bullock's great acting?
In a Variety exclusive, Ann Dowd ("The Drop" and "The Leftovers"), as well as Scoot McNairy and Anthony Mackie, are the new inclusions in the cast.
"Our Brand is Crisis" is produced by Clooney and Grant Heslov through Smokehouse Pictures. Bullock is the executive producer. David Gordon Green is the director. Peter Straughan worked on the screenplay.
