It was the celebrity wedding of the year, with Hollywood's most eligible bachelor finally deciding to tie the knot. Hollywood heartthrob George Clooney's wedding to human rights lawyer Amal Alamuddin was the talk of the town last weekend, and Venice was the place to be, as dozens of celebrities descended on the Italian City. Matt Damon, Billy Murray, U2 frontman Bono, supermodel Cindy Crawford, actress Ellen Barkin and Vogue Editor In Chief Anna Wintour were among those stars fortunate enough witness George and Amal exchange vows at the historic Aman Canal Grande Venice.

Now even if you weren't invited to this exclusive event, there's no reason you can't get a glimpse of it! The Amal Alamuddin and George Clooney wedding pictures have recently been revealed by People magazine, and with some commentary from George, Amal, and guests of the wedding itself!

On People magazine's latest cover, the 53 year old actor looks ever the dashing groom, in his Giorgio Armani tux, white shirt, black bow, and with cuff links that were a gift from Amal. Inscribed on these was his name, written in Arabic.

The actor shared with People magazine that marriage "feels pretty damn great," and based on the George Clooney wedding pictures, it's very obvious that this is so.

Meanwhile, the bride Amal wore a custom made Oscar de la Renta dress, made of French lace, hand sewn pearls and diamante, with an off the shoulder style neckline and a full circular train. Of her choice of de la Renta as her wedding gown designer, Amal tells People magazine, "He's such an elegant designer and such an elegant man."

Amal's mother, Baria, an editor of an Arabic newspaper shares with People that "George and Amal radiated love all night."

The groom was very much elated at his marriage to Amal. "We're looking forward to everything," Clooney said.

People magazine has 25 exclusive George Clooney wedding photos on the pages of its latest edition, which will hit newsstands on Friday.
