Good news DC Comic fans as the first trailer for Justice League: Throne of Atlantis has been streamed online as it show's Aquaman appearance in the new 52, his origin story, and his induction to the Justice League.
Justice League: Throne of Atlantis is an upcoming direct-to-video animated superhero film which is part of the DC Universe Animated Original Movies. The film will be based on the Throne of Atlantis story arc written by Geoff Johns and serves as a sequel to 2014's Justice League: War.
The trailer will feature the underwater city of Atlantis as Ocean Master tries to convince his people to rise up and invade the surface for the death of their king, and for the protection of his city. But, Queen Atlanna proposes that they should find Arthur Curry, her haft human, haft atlantean son and Ocean Master's haft-brother as he will bring balance and peace between the two worlds.
Arthur Curry, on the other hand is unaware of his atlantean heritage, as he finds a way to know who he is and his place in the world. Eventually he meets Mera and introduces him to Atlantis, his biological mother, and his haft-brother.
Growing paranoid, Ocean Master prepares a full invasion against the surface and this caught the attention of the Justice League to save the world from them. It is up to Arthur and the Justice League to stop him, and in the end he will eventually join there ranks under the name Aquaman, much to his chagrin.
Justice League: Throne of Atlantis stars Jason O'Mara, Christopher Gorham, Sean Astin, Shemar Moore and Steven Blum reprise their respected roles from Justice League: War, while Nathan Fillion reprises his role as Green Lantern / Hal Jordan from Green Lantern: Emerald Knights, Justice League: Doom and Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox.
