Focus Features has just released the "Black Sea" trailer. The movie stars two-time Academy Award nominee Jude Law. At the helm is Kevin Macdonald ("One Day in September", "The Last King of Scotland").

Macdonald admitted that he was not even considering Law to be the lead. He told Entertainment Weekly in a previous interview, "I wanted somebody in their middle age and who was British and who could convincingly be a blue-collar guy. If you look around Hollywood, there aren't very many who look like that and certainly not stars. I went to see him thinking 'well Jude Law is great, but he's not really him.'"

But the actor was able to convince the director that he can easily transform himself to fit the role. He even made an effort to learn Aberdeen accent.

However, Express reported, "Jude Law's Scots accent is so sub-standard."

In the "Black Sea" trailer, one viewer said, "That is not Aberdonian; it's not even a very good Scottish accent. Even if he had a buttery in both hands I am not sure he could persuade me he was from Aberdeen."

Official Synopsis: "Black Sea" centers on a rogue submarine captain (Jude Law) who, after being laid off from a salvage company, pulls together a misfit crew to go after a sunken treasure rumored to be lost in the depths of the Black Sea. As greed and desperation take control on board their claustrophobic vessel, the increasing uncertainty of the mission causes the men to turn on each other to fight for their own survival.

The cast of the suspenseful adventure thriller, which will hit the theaters in January 2015, includes Scoot McNairy ("Argo"), British Independent Film Award winner Ben Mendelsohn ("Starred Up"), David Threlfall ("Shameless"), Konstantin Khabenskiy ("Tinker", "Tailor", "Soldier", "Spy"), Sergey Puskepalis ("How I Ended This Summer"), British Independent Film Award winner Michael Smiley ("Kill List"), and Grigory Dobrygin ("A Most Wanted Man").
