Nonito Donaire's next fight may likely be back to super bantamweight, as "The Filipino Flash" is contemplating on moving back down after his loss to Nicholas Walters. The five-division world champion also admitted to being overwhelmed by his opponent's size advantage.

While there is no definite news about Nonito Donaire's next fight, it looks like "The Filipino Flash" will move back down to 122 lbs for his next bout. The 31-year old native of General Santos City was simply outclassed by the bigger, hard-hitting Walters, as the Jamaican champion emerged victorious via sixth round knockout.

Coming into the fight, spectators such as Top Rank chief Bob Arum himself believed that Walters would be a tough task for Donaire to handle. The 82-year old promoter echoed the same sentiments after the bout.

"I have never seen a featherweight with as much power as Walters," Arum said in a report by ESPN. "I've seen featherweights with a lot of power but nothing with the concussive power this kid has. The one question I had was could he take a punch and he proved he could."

With regards to Nonito Donaire's next fight, "The Filipino Flash" gave an open-ended answer as to what his next plans are.

"I've got to go back to the drawing board," Donaire said. "I know I can't compete with guys like Walters. I succumbed to size and power inside the ring. He beat the sh-- out of me."

Walters, who holds an 84% knockout ratio, proved to be too much for Donaire to handle on fight night. The Filipino superstar did admit during his post-fight interview that he was overwhelmed, not only by his opponent's power, but his size as well.

"I was at my best. I never trained this hard," Donaire continued. "I take nothing away from Nicholas Walters. He came out as tough as I thought he would be. The size he had over me I couldn't deal with. He overwhelmed and knocked the sh-- out of me."
