Ricki Lake And Christian Evans Divorcing? Couple Decided To Have The Sudden Split After ‘Trying To Make Things Work,’ Rumor Suggests

Ricki Lake and Christian Evans are reportedly divorcing. According to Radar Online, the happy couple has decided to end their marriage of more than two years. Reportedly, a friend close to the former couple said that the duo "really did try to make it work."

"They were always a happy couple and rarely ever argued," a friend close to the couple tells Radar. "However, this past month was filled with lots of joy and sadness."

"For the last couple of weeks, they attended several therapy sessions together," says the friend. "Yesterday they went to their therapist and following the session, Christian sent her a text message that read 'I do not want you to be in any more heartache or pain that our marriage is over.'"

An insider reveal to the online publication that Ricki and her husband celebrated the former talk show host's birthday weeks prior to the exact date she was born.

"Christian got Ricki tickets to go see a taping of So You Think You Can Dance, which is her favorite show, and they had a really amazing time," the source says. "They also went on a birthday trip to Las Vegas last month for a show with about 20 of their closest friends."

Reportedly, source says that "things started to fall apart" when Evans went to Ibiza alone the week of her birthday.

"Christian did go to Ibiza, but Ricki knew about it," the source tells Radar. "She didn't necessarily approve because he would be gone for her birthday, but he told her he would contact her every day, which he did," the source says.

The source reveals that when Christian returned, Ricki said "he was not the same person that she married, and that he had just changed too much for her,"

"The day he returned from his trip, they went to see the therapist for a two-hour session," the source added.

Unfortunately, report says that the therapy didn't work for the two who decided to end their marriage.
