Michael Pattemore shared to Yours magazine that his wife Lynda Bellingham did not die at their home as she has hoped. It was the British actress's agent, Sue Latimer, who confirmed quite recently that the famous presenter, who suffered from cancer, died "in her husband's arms" at the age of 66.

Lynda Bellingham was best known for her long-running role as a mother in the Oxo TV advertisements. She has been battling colon cancer since she was diagnosed in July of last year. She once mentioned that she had initially planned to stop her cancer treatment, when she found out that the cancerous cells have metastasized to her lungs and liver, in order to limit the suffering of her family.

Latimer said, in a statement on behalf of the Bellingham family, "Lynda died peacefully in her husband's arms yesterday at a London hospital. Actor, writer, and presenter - to the end Lynda was a consummate professional."

Michael Pattemore's late wife was also quite famous for various shows, such as "All Creatures Great and Small." Plus, she was even part of ITV's "Loose Women."

Pattemore recalled what it was like to take care of his sick wife. He said, "She was in too much pain and they didn't have it under control enough for me to be able to look after her. I just want her to be remembered as an actress more than anything, not as a celebrity or one of the 'Loose Women.'"

Also, Pattemore shared that his wife remained humble despite her popularity. He said, "She started her career as an actress and never thought of herself as a celebrity. She's always been an actress."

Only earlier this month, Lynda Bellingham stated that she decided to give up her chemotherapy sessions as it was "a huge relief because I took back some control of myself."
