Those in search of a Google Inbox App have the next best thing, with an email service launched to enhance email organization.

There's a new Google Inbox App of sorts for those who want to streamline their online mailboxes; Google released its new Inbox service last Wednesday.

The new service has yet to officially launch, but Google claims it'll improve email organization, display custom information such as appointments, itineraries, and confirmed deliveries in user-friendly formats.

Beta testing is ongoing for a sample of Gmail users, with test invites sent via email. Interested users can also request participation in the trials, by emailing inbox@google.com. The service currently complements Gmail, and will eventually be available on the Web, also on Android and Apple smartphones.

Google's effort to provide better email service focuses on features customized to the users' preferences. In a blog post: "Inbox is by the same people who brought you Gmail, but it's not Gmail: it's a completely different type of inbox, designed to focus on what really matters."

Google Inbox messages and emails will also feature real-time updates, for users who want to keep up to speed with deliveries, promotional offers from their favorite suppliers. Online purchases may also be monitored on-the-fly.

Reminders via Google Inbox messages are also made more accessible, according to the company, easing the hassles of tracking chores and appointments.

The Google Inbox App will also upgrade features already available in the email service, allowing users to group information, such as transactions and bank account statements (yahoo.com).

Google has also extended exclusive invites for its new app by allowing users to pull in three other users. Second-hand invites end there, though, and Google has yet to announce if it'll allow further distributionto those interested to try out the new Google Inbox App (engadget.com).
