2NE1's Cl may claim to be "the baddest female" in her song of the same name but some k-drama heroines give her a run for her money.
These actresses don't always play bad girls but when they do they are really good at it.
Take Yoo In Young in "The Three Musketeers. Her character Mi Ryung adds an even darker shade to k-drama villains. She has killed to become princess and she's ready to kill again. Whoever gets in her way deserves to die and she's maybe a little delusional in thinking the prince, played by Lee Jin Wook, will love her for her dedication.
There are plenty of female villains in k-dramas but there are few that stand out. We at Kdramastars would like to give an unofficial Baddest K-Drama Female Award to the following actresses:
Baek Jin Hee: In her role as Empress Danashiri in "Empress Ki" she killed nuns and was ready to snuff out the life of an innocent baby to secure her spot on the throne and in the affections of Ji Chang Wook.
Jeong Yu Mi: As Se Na in "Rooftop Prince," she was so greedy for financial security that she was ready to sacrifice her own sister, played by Han Ji Min, to marry the heir. Her counterpart in the past was a princess, having all the wealth she desired, but was still ready to sacrifice her sister's life.
Park Si Yeon: Although she's a character that viewers love in her current drama "The Greatest Marriage," she was a character viewers loved to hate in the melodrama "Nice Guy." She uses her adoring boyfriend, played by Song Joong Ki then brutally betrays him.
Uee: In "You're Beautiful," she plays the superficial girl pretending to be the nation's sweetheart but she's less concerned about good deeds than she is about scheming to win Jang Geun Suk's heart. And she doesn't care what it costs.
Wang Ji Hye: The actress who played Song Chae Kyung in "Hotel King" this year also played the ungtrateful Kim In Hee in "Personal Taste." Her character married the boyfriend of her childhood best friend and roommate, without even warning her.
Kim Yoo Ri: Although she was charming as the superficial actress in "The Master's Sun," she was bad to the bone in "Cheomdamdong Alice." Her character In Hwa ruined several lives all because she was bitter about a failed marriage bid.
Lee Hye Young: There are plenty of bad moms in k-drama but Lee Hye Young takes the prize in "Boys Over Flowers." As Lee Min Ho's mom, she has the right to say she does not approve of his girlfriend, played by Gu Hye Sun, but she crosses the line when she attempts to ruin the lives of her prospective in-laws.
Following close behind is Park Joon Geum, the woman who plays Hyun Bin's spoiled petulant mom in "Secret Garden" and has played the bad mom in several dramas, including "The Heirs."
