"The Three Musketeers" completed its first season on Nov. 2, leaving the fate of its main characters up in the air. But that's not all it left up in the air. There is still some question as to the drama's scheduling for the next season.

According to the cable channel tvN, potential dates are being discussed for the rest of the 36 episodes.

"The first season concluded on Sunday after 12 episodes and we are now discussing the second one," said the tvN representative. "However we do not yet have concrete plans for the second season's airing schedule."

But there is no need fro the show's fans to worry. All three seasons of the drama will definitely air.

The drama's writer Song Jae Jung has written all three seasons of the drama and the storyline is decided. She considered this drama before she began working on the critically acclaimed "Nine: Nine Time Travels," which also starred Lee Jin Wook.

"We are hoping to finalize plans for the third season within the year," said Song. "Season 2 has the story's Chinese history as the background."

The Korean drama is an adaptation of the French novel by Alexander Dumas, which has several times been adapted into films. The k-drama version stars Lee Jin Wook, CNBlue's Jung Yong Hwa, Seo Hyun Jin, Yang Dong Geum, Yoo in Young and Jung Hae in.

The twelfth episode of the drama left the fate of the characters up in the air. The Crown Prince, played by Lee Jin Wook, had not quite recovered from his last wound when his father sentenced him to death by hanging. The prince was trying to save his fellow musketeers and sidekick Park Dal Hyang but he almost got all of them killed. He got a reprieve but the king no longer trusts him.

The Prince has finally realized that he should no longer pine for-or needs to feel guilty about-wanting to kill Mi Ryung, played by Yoo In Young. Her evil ways are now well known to all. But she also seems hard to kill. He was sure he killed her but at the end of the season's last episode she was alive and back to her evil ways.

The Prince has also discovered that he loves his wife, the Crown Princess Kang Bin, played by Seo Hyun Jun. Her gentle ways and fearless loyalty finally won him over. But will they have a chance to be together? Tune in for the second season to find out.

Kim Byung Soo is the director for "The Three Musketeers."
