"Revenge" cast Emily VanCamp fits right with the Marvel special as the actress expressed her gratitude for her series' nomination.

In an article from Variety, it was revealed that "Revenge" cast Emily VanCamp hosted the ABC special, "Marvel, 75 Years: From Pulp To Pop!"

The show is described as "a solid primer on Marvel's history, while weaving in inevitable self-promotion and synergistic plugs" that should be required viewing for comic book fans, so they will know who Jack Kirby is, or Steve Ditko for that matter.

"Hosted by Emily VanCamp - who not only stars in ABC's 'Revenge' and appeared in the last 'Captain America' movie, but also looks like a stereotypical comicbook fan's imaginary girlfriend - the special races through those early years, when editor Martin Goodman began churning out superhero titles in response to the success of Superman," the magazine said.

Brian Lowry wrote for Variety that the documentary has some irritants, including "an emphasis on interviews with ABC and/or Marvel stars (a la Jimmy Kimmel), who might harbor a love for the comics but feel conspicuously like they're in the mix for crass cross-promotional purposes."

He said that the docu also missed out on including the "X-Men," which is significant considering that the 2000 film paved the way for the popularity of superhero movies.

Meanwhile, "Revenge" cast Emily VanCamp took to Twitter to thank her fans for voting the show in the People's Choice Awards.

She wrote on November 4: "Grateful for the nomination! Excited that #REVENGE is nominated too!! Thanks to all who voted. We do it for you :) @peopleschoice."

"Revenge" is entering its fourth season and things are getting interesting in the Hamptons with the return of Emily Thorne's father, who was long thought to be dead.

"Revenge" was nominated by fans for the People's Choice Awards 2014 in the Favorite Network TV Drama Category, along with "Chicago Fire," "Downton Abbey," "Grey's Anatomy," and "Scandal."
