The Raid Redemption Remake US Cast could include Iko Uwais portraying Mad Dog should the fans get their way.
Iko Uwais has been on record saying that he would like to be part of The Raid Redemption Remake US cast and director of the original Raid Redemption (now executive producer of the The Raid Redemption Remake) has expressed that he too would like Iko Uwais appear on The Raid Redemption Remake even if it's only a cameo.
Now that cameo could evolve into a bigger role as Iko Uwais could portray the character Mad Dog in the Raid Redemption remake.
Users over at IMDB have started a petition that Iko Uwais should be part of the Raid Redemption Remake US cast and he should play Mad Dog.
But why should Iko Uwais play Mad Dog instead of the original actor Yayan Ruhian?
User "JetLivsBruceLee" has stated that:
"Yayan Ruhian is too small to portray Mad Dog in Hollywood Remake. He's barely five foot tall for fucks sake! People would find it hard to believe that someone like Taylor Kitsch who's 6 foot tall would have a hard time fighting him"
And then user "EdwardCarnby" said that Iko Uwais would still be able to portray the "small but terrible" trope as the The Raid Redemption Remake US cast would be assuredly be taller than him but not dwarf him like they would Yayan Ruhian.
