As per Empire Online, last summer, the "Rocky Spin-off Creed" will start filming in January (2015) which will be taken between Las Vegas and Philadelphia.

The casts have been gaining muscle at studio MGM. Ryan Coogler will direct and the "Fruitvale Station" star Michael B. Jordan was confirmed to join the film. Sylvester Stallone will reprise his role as Rocky Balboa. Champion boxers Andre Ward and Tony Bellew are also in talks to join the film.

The original Creed was played by Carl Weathers and its big rival is Rocky in the first two films. The two fighters eventually became close friends, until Dolph Lundgren's Ivan Drago killed Creed in Rocky IV. So in this spinoff movie, Rocky might be a little concerned about Creed's grandson putting on the gloves.

The synopsis of the movie will center on Apollo Creed's grandson Adonis (which will be played by Michael B. Jordan). His family has tried to keep him away from the ring. Since his natural talents in boxing still drive him to pursue his dreams. According to Empire, "Stallone will be easing into the Burgess Meredith role as Creed's trainer: a Rocky who has left the world of boxing behind and has no real desire to return until he meets the new protégé. Bellew will be Creed's main opponent, "Pretty Ricky Porter". Ward's role remains unspecified at present."

From the previous report of Kdrama about Rocky Seven, "The Expendables" actor has already revealed the plot of the next sequel of his classic movie.

According to the previous report, the storyline will follow how Rocky passes and shares his knowledge from his trainer Mickey Goldmill (played by the late Burgess Meredith) to Creed's grandson.
