Gina Carano and Ronda Rousey were supposed to spent time together in the UFC octagon this year but it did not push thru. Despite the negation of the anticipated match, the UFC Women's Bantamweight Champion still named Gina Carano as the "Hottest Female Athlete" without hesitation. TMZ recently had a convo with "Rowdy" Ronda where she was baffled at first when asked to name the hottest male and female athlete.
Reportedly, the current UFC 145-pound Women's champ settled for soccer player Cristiano Ronaldo for the male and was much quicker to answer when asked for the female athlete; she dropped the name of the former "Strikeforce" champ.
Previous report noted Rousey's admiration for Carano. She publicly declares that a match with the former MMA fighter is "something that she has wanted since the first time she laid eyes on the sport."
"And out of all of the women in MMA, Gina has the best feel for distance and timing. That's not something you lose because you made a couple of movies. You'll always have that. And she was the first girl I ever saw that had a one-punch standing knockout," she said.
"I think it would be the best thing for women's MMA. I think it would be the highest profile fight that could be done. I don't think it would make sense for her to come back and fight somebody else and take the risk of maybe losing and not being able to capitalize on the fight between me and her. I think it would make more sense to go straight to a title fight," Rousey said according to Fox Sports.
However, due to Carano's hectic Hollywood schedule, the fight this year is not possible. According to Fox Sports, Carano's manager, Scott Karp, told MMA Fighting that she will be filming two movies before the end of the year including "Bus 657" and another in December.
