"The Musketeers" Season 2, which gets January 2015 air date in UK, has "Misfits" actress Antonia Thomas as guest cast. The "Scrotal Recall" star gave this update recently.

"I play a Spanish Moor and she's on the run and been exiled from Spain," Thomas shared with Digital Spy. It's a dream come true for her as she disclosed that she has "always wanted to do a period drama".

The actress plays the role of Samara, daughter of Tariq, the character to be played by British actor Colin Salmon. He is a mystifying man escaping from Spain.

Salmon talks about working in America and his co-actors in "The Musketeers" Season 2. "The discipline level is another level. So yes, we're good, we're disciplined and it's all about the work."

He added America carries "bigger presence" that therefore provides "more opportunities".

"The Musketeers" Seasons 2, which was earlier reported to have June 22, 2015 air date in BBC America, will no longer include Peter Capaldi in the cast.

Tom Burke, who plays the role of Athos, said in Radio Times via Express that "come the next series the Cardinal will be dead". He added, "He'll just be gone."

Marc Warren will be Rochefort - the new archenemy. He told BBC, "I'm delighted to be part of the BBC's stylish and exciting take on the Dumas classic. Once I've overcome my fear of horses I'm sure it'll be a walk in the park."

BBC Executive Producer, Jessica Pope, shared they are happy to welcome him in the show. "He's a clever and mercurial actor who will bring danger and charm to the role of Rochefort in equal measure."

"The Musketeers" Season 2, which air date is being looked forward by fans, cast includes Luke Pasqualino (D'Artagnan), Tom Burke (Athos), Santiago Cabrera (Aramis), and Howard Charles (Porthos). Other comebackers in this 10-episode drama series are Tamla Kari, Maimie McCoy, Hugo Speer, Ryan Gage, and Alexandra Dowling.

"The Musketeers" is created by BBC Drama Production, co-produced by BBC WorldWide and BBC America. Adrian Hodges is the creator and the executive producer. Colin Wratten is the producer.
