Director Guy Ritchie (Sherlock Holmes, Lock, Stock And Two Smoking Barrels) is generating quite a buzz for his upcoming project. For his new big screen endeavor, the British director is taking on the legendary tale of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table. And what makes this new King Arthur movie so exciting is the interesting casting choices that have been made.

First, there is the decision to cast Sons of Anarchy's Charlie Hunnam to play King Arthur himself. The Sons of Anarchy star made headlines previously for dropping out of the juicy role of Christian Grey in the much hyped movie adaptation of the popular novel Fifty Shades Of Grey. But it looks like his film career is back on track with this exciting new role as the legendary king. The other interesting casting choice is for the leading lady, Queen Guinevered. For this new King Arthur movie, director Guy Ritchie has opted for a relative newcomer -- Astrid Berges-Frisbey, who is best known as the mesmerizing mermaid in the Pirates of the Caribbean movie.

The villain role in this new King Arthur movie is much coveted, and today news comes that it has been bagged by Jude Law, who, if we will recall, also starred in Guy Ritchie's Sherlock movies as Dr. John Watson. But who exactly will Jude Law be playing, among the possible villains that will clash against King Arthur? Speculations are rife that he will be playing Mordred. The villain is known as the notorious traitor who fought with King Arthur at the Battle of Camlann.

Previously, it was reported that Idris Elba will be King Arthur's mentor, which was exciting news. But the latest in this new King Arthur movie is that the actor has dropped out for some reason.

In any case, the official title of the movie is Knights of the Roundtable: King Arthur, and it is planned to be the first in a series of movies about the Arthurian legend. The love story between Guinevere and Arthur is set to be told in different stages through these movies.
