Yoon Sang Hyun is making plans to get married. Even though the 41-year-old actor was vague about his plans in this week's recently filmed episode of the SBS show "Healing Camp," his agency MGB Entertainment, says he is definitely headed to the altar. The actor and his fiancée, singer, songwriter and radio presenter MayBee are currently working out the final details.
On Nov. 21 MGB Entertainment released a statement that confirmed both the relationship and their wedding plans.
"Yoon Sang Hyun and Maybee are a couple," said the MGB representative. "They'll be holding their wedding early 2015. They recently started preparing for it."
While the couple has not yet decided on a definite date or chosen the place or who will officiate or sing at the ceremony, they are moving forward.
"We've heard that the families met this week," said the MGB representative.
On the episode of SBS Healing Camp, which airs Nov. 24, the actor admitted to seeing someone and thinking about matrimony.
"I'm thinking of marrying my six-year-younger girlfriend sometime early next year," he said when the show taped.
Yoon, who played an idealistic if nerdy prosecutor in "I Hear Your Voice" has not had time to officially propose, said his representative.
"He has been busy. After everything is organized, we will let fans know the details."
Yoon Sang Hyun took his time finding the perfect woman but then he made his acting debut relatively late in life, first appearing in a drama at age 32.
He is also known for his roles in "My Fair Lady" and for playing the Hallyu star Oska in "Secret Garden." His drama "Queen of Housewives" became a surprise hit in Cuba, unexpectedly making him a Hallyu star there.
After his appearance in "I Hear Your Voice," the actor starred in the cable drama "Gap Dong," playing a detective out to capture a serial killer and clear his father's name. He also sings and has contributed to several drama soundtracks.
According to a report in Donga, the couple has dated since July. They met through a mutual acquaintance in April. Her agency, Blue Bridge, recently also confirmed the relationship.
Maybee hosted the KBS Cool FM's "Pump Up The Volume" radio show from 2006 to 2010. She has written songs for Lee Hyori, MC Mong, A Pink and SG Wannabee. Her most recently released album as a singer was "Odd Eye" in 2013.
