Keanu Reeves' "John Wick" could be his lucky charm because more doors were opened for him. Right now, the 50-year-old actor is busy shooting with another independent movie, "Daughter of God".
"Daughter of God" is a story about a police detective who is investigating the truth behind the death of his partner. He meets a Latina who is starting to see strange things after witnessing a miracle.
Reeves plays the role of the police detective and Ana de Armas portrays the Latina. Last November 5, he shared an intimate moment with his co-star as they hugged each other in a scene shot in New York.
Mira Sorvino has joined the cast just this month to work with Keanu Reeves and Ana de Armas in this mystery thriller executive produced by Cassian Elwes, Dan Grodnik, and Katie Mustard. "The Matrix" and "Speed" actor also produced the film along with Gee Malik Linton and Robin Gurland.
Reeves was again spotted last November 7 in New York wearing a trench coat and clean-shaven face while shooting scenes of "Daughter of God". He threw a punch on a confrontation scene. Last November 16, he wrapped Mira Sorvino in his arms to comfort the crying female co-star in another scene of the movie.
The "Constantine" actor has other upcoming movies apart from "Daughter of God". He has just finished shooting Eli Roth's horror-thriller film "Knock Knock" along with his co-star De Armas. The film about a happily married man but a weekend has changed his life when two ladies show up in his house that turn his peaceful, happy life upside-down.
Another film that Reeves has just wrapped up is the courtroom drama, "The Whole Truth" opposite the 45-year-old actress Renée Zellweger. The male lead role that Reeves portrays was originally for "Casino Royale" actor "Daniel Craig", but he dropped out the role just a few days before the production was set to start.
Reeves has also signed contract for the film "Replicas", wherein he will play the role of a neuroscientist who wants to bring back his family who died in an accident. He tries everything even it means putting himself against the government, police, and physical laws of science.
He is also in talks to star in Tarsem Singh's "The Panopticon", a science fiction-thriller movie.
