"Tom Clancy's The Division" release date 2015 for PS4 and Xbox One continue to excite fans. With limited information online, gamers are left to wonder about the much awaited game's fate. Has its launch been cancelled?
Reports are claiming that the game will be available by 2015. But the gaming community will not be at peace until a specific date has been mentioned.
New updates point to a possible March launch. As Air Herald claimed, "We know the release date is sometime in 2015, and now there is more speculation that the release date will be in March and not sometime in the fall. For AAA games like The Division, publishers usually prefer either a late fall window like November, or early spring window like March. March is usually a down period for games, and it is much easier to market a game during that time period."
A rumored Beta version release is slated on March 2015. Ubisoft has not yet offered concrete details about the said "Tom Clancy's The Division" release date 2015 for PS4 and Xbox One report.
But, what could be causing the hold-up? Massive Entertainment's ("The Division's" developer) Martin Hulberg explained:
"Obviously, we want to make a game that looks the best it can on its respective format, so Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. So I think the term downgrade is a bit confusing and weird because we're trying to get the most out of every machine we use. So Xbox gets its attention, PlayStation gets its attention, and PC of course will be able to cram it up a bit more depending on the hardware you have."
"We address every console, every platform as its own version," he said. "So we try to stay away from the thing where you go for the least common denominator and everybody suffers for it. We want to make a good experience on all respective formats," he added.
According to the official blog posted by the game's Dev Team earlier this year, "Working on The Division is a once in a lifetime opportunity for all of us at Massive, Reflections, and Red Storm Entertainment. We are creating something we are really proud of and we don't want to compromise on quality. We are going to release the game when it's ready."
