Actress Nam Sang Mi, who recently starred in "The Joseon Gunman," is making wedding plans.
And despite the wishes of fans who think she looks great with her two-time co-star Lee Jun Ki, she is marrying a non-celebrity.
On Nov. 28, her agency, JR Entertainment, announced the news.
"It's true that Nam Sang Mi is getting married. The wedding will take place on Jan. 24 in Yangpyeong County in the Gyeonggi Province. It will be a small private church wedding with family and friends.
The couple met through a mutual friend in 2013.
"They started off as friends before developing a relationship, and recently confirmed their wedding after both families officially met."
Her non-celebrity fiancé is also 30 and runs a business.
The JR Entertainment representative told The Korea Times that the actress' fiancé was just an "average guy."
"The groom-to-be is an average guy running a personal business. He is good responsible guy," said the agency representative.
The couple dated quietly for a year before deciding to marry.
"She will continue her career as an actress with a happy family after her marriage, and will put in efforts to bring only the best works supported by JR Entertainment," said an agency release.
The actress previously dated Lee Sang Yoon, who recently starred in "The Liar Game."
The couple met on the set of "Life is Beautiful" and dated for 18 months. When they broke up, they said it was due to their hectic schedules, which can frequently be a problem when two actors date.
Her chemistry with Lee Jun Ji has also caused some romantic speculation. She worked with him in the drama "The Time Between Wolf and Dog" and again in "The Joseon Gunman."
But even though there was plenty of chemistry, there was no romance. They just enjoy working together.
Lee Jun Ki spoke about how easy Nam Sang Mi was to work with when he first started filming "The Joseon Gunman."
"We had a connection seven years ago, so I was comfortable and able to immerse myself in the drama right away," he said. "Our chemistry together is truly the best. We prepare for every filming session together. It's not a work place with her, but more like a playground, so I am able to film with joy and happiness."
Nam Sang Mi also appeared in the dramas "Lights and Shadows" and "Goddess of Marriage." She had roles in Gu Hye Sun's film "Peach Tree" as well as the film "Slow Video."
