Which Samsung tablet is the better buy? We pit the Galaxy Mega 6.3 against the Galaxy Grand 2 to see which is worth the purchase.
In terms of design and display, both Samsung devices come with a the standard Samsung Galaxy front panel which features two soft keys and a physical Home button, but on the back, the Grand 2 comes with a leather-like material like the Galaxy Note 3, while the Mega 6.3 has a standard plastic cover like the ones you can see on devices such as the Galaxy S3 for example.
The Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 comes with a 6.3 inch display, which is pretty much the largest users will find on any Samsung device, while the Galaxy Grand 2 comes with a large 5.2 inch display. Both devices also have 720 x 1280 resolutions.
For the hardware, the Galaxy Grand 2 has a quad core 1.2 GHz processor that will be supported by 1.5 GB of RAM, whil the Galaxy Mega 6.3 also features 1.5 GB of RAM, but a different processing unit in the form of a 1.7 GHz dual core Krait CPU. Both devices come with 8 GB storage variants, the Mega 6.3 also has a 16 GB version. The maximum storage capacity for both devices is 64 GB, if users expand through a microSD card.
For the battery and camera specs, both tablets have the same camera configuration, which means an 8 MP camera on the rear and a 1.9 MP camera on the frontal panel. The recording capabilities of both devices reach 1080p HD video recording, with LED flash on standby.
The Mega 6.3 features a 3200 mAh battery, while the Grand 2 has to settle for a 2600 mAh unit.
