Lady Gaga news reported that the "Bad Romance" singer has revealed how she was raped when she was only 19 years old. According to a report from Cosmopolitan, the singer said she "was very naïve" when the incident took place.

The singer recalled during a radio guesting for Howard Stern's show that she "went through some horrific things" when she was very young.

"I'm able to laugh (at them) now, because I've gone through a lot of mental and physical therapy and emotional therapy to heal over the years," Lady Gaga said.

The pop star opened up about the rape incident. "To be fair, I was about 19," she started. "I went to Catholic school and then all this crazy stuff happened, and I was going, 'Oh, is this just the way adults are?'"

"I was very naïve," the singer said, reported by Cosmopolitan.

Howard Stern asked if Lady Gaga ever dealt with her rapist, who was 20 years older than her. She explained: "I think it would terrify me. It would paralize me."

The recording artist narrated: "I saw him one time in a store and I was so paralized by fear. Because it wasn't until I was a little bit older that I went, 'Wow, that was really messed up.'"

"I don't know what I was thinking. I didn't tell anybody. And I didn't even tell myself for the longest time," she confessed.

Lady Gaga shared how she eventually got help over what happened. She narrated: "And then I was like, 'You know what? All this drinking and all this nonsense, you have to go to the source, otherwise it just won't go away. It will not go away."

Aside from her frustrations from being raped, Lady Gaga also previously shared her frustrations about the music industry and her own career. In a report from Entertainment Wise, the singer even called her pop days "robotic" and said accused music execs of being "controlling".

''Since 'The Fame', 'The Fame Monster' and 'Born This Way', they've been auto-tuning it more, or changing the timbre. They take the vibrato out so you sound like a robot," Lady Gaga said in the news reported by Entertainment Wise.

The controversial musician admitted: ''They really control you especially in the beginning."
