Alicia Keys news reported that the pregnant singer has released a new song around a month before her due date. According to a report from Music Times, her new song, "We Gotta Pray" is dedicated to Mike Brown and Eric Garner.

Alicia Keys news explained that her new track follows the controversial deaths of Mike Brown in Ferguson and Eric Garner in New York City. The R&B star also believes that the country is going through a "trying time in American history," which is why her song pleads for peace, unity, and love.

A video of Alicia Keys' new song, which was uploaded to her Youtube page, showcased photos of praying individuals and flashed words such as "humanity", "strong" and "we are hopeful" in the middle of the screen.

Martin Luther King, Jr. was also quoted in the music video of Alicia Keys' new track. The quote read: "Nonviolence means avoiding not only external physical violence but also internal violence of spirit. You not only refuse to shoot a man, but you refuse to hate him."

According to Alicia Keys news from Music Times, some of the lyrics from her new song had the Grammy winner singing: "We gotta pray, pray for the world tonight."

She continued: "Fire in the air, what the hell going on/ Sirens everywhere singing that street song/ Violence everywhere barely holding on/ What the hell going on/ Do you know who you are/ Do you know who we are?"

Earlier Alicia Keys news reported that the expecting singer posted a simple but powerful Instagram message following the Ferguson Grand Jury on Michael Brown's death.

According to a report from The Guardian, the wife of music producer Swizz Beats stood out among all the supporters of Michael Brown, who were ranting about the Ferguson Grand Jury.

Amid rants and defensive explanations about the riot that ensued after the verdict, the R&B star's Instagram post stood out with a simple image that read "MIKE BROWN" in big, bold, white letters against a plain black background.
