Matthew Perry's comedy sitcom, "The Odd Couple," will be sandwiched between "The Big Bang Theory" and "Two and a Half Men" as part of the strategy by CBS to give the new show a good chance at success.

According to Deadline, "The Odd Couple" will premiere on February 19 immediately preceding the one-hour finale of "Two and a Half Men."

Matthew Perry's newest comedy sitcom is getting the strongest lead-in on television as it will definitely benefit from the huge audience of both "The Big Bang Theory" and "Two and a Half Men."

But that's not exactly a sure ingredient to success.

"By putting Odd Couple, starring Perry and Thomas Lennon, on at 8:30 PM, CBS is trying to give the comedy, which the network owns, the best shot possible," Dealine added. "Word of caution, however. Like NBC's Friends curse, CBS is yet to launch a successful comedy behind its biggest series, with a slew of half-hours that started in the time slot quickly getting the ax, $#*! My Dad Said, How To Be A Gentleman, Rob and The Millers," it said.

The Movie News Guide said that the week after the premiere, "The Big Bang Theory" will still be lending support as a lead-in then the CBS will air previous episodes of BBT.

"This strategy has experts predicting a sure win for "The Odd Couple" in the ratings game," it said.

Matthew Perry's comedy sitcom, "The Odd Couple," also features Thomas Lennon as Felix Unger. It's based on an old TV classic of the same title starring Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau. The new show also features Yvette Nicole Brown, Lindsay Sloane and Wendell Pierce.

The synopsis for the original sitcom reads: "Felix Ungar has just broken up with his wife. Despondent, he goes to kill himself but is saved by his friend Oscar Madison. With nowhere else to go, Felix is urged by Oscar to move in with him, at least for a while. The only problem is that Felix is neat, tidy, and neurotic, whereas Oscar is slovenly and casual."
