Tom Hiddleston and Benedict Cumberbatch For A Crossover Marvel Film? Is The Internet Ready For That Day?

With "Sherlock" actor Benedict Cumberbatch's casting as the mystical Dr. Strange, Marvel finally secured two of the Internet's most famous actors to star in its superhero flicks. Will we see both Tom Hiddleston and Benedict Cumberbatch together in a crossover film someday?

Marvel recently confirmed that "The Imitation Game" star will take on the role of Dr. Stephen Strange, a neurosurgeon who dabbles with magic after an accident takes away his ability to operate on his patients.

This is a "meaty" role that Cumberbatch "will knock out of the park" according to MTV News.

The "I Saw The Light" star, on the other hand, have been wrecking cinema havoc as the trickster god Loki since the first "Thor" instalment.

He was recently confirmed to appear in "Avengers: Age Of Ultron" as well as "Avengers: Infinity Wars." Speculations are also ripe that Dr. Strange will be joining both parts of the latter sequel.

The Internet will definitely rejoice at a possible Tom Hiddleston and Benedict Cumberbatch team-up for another film in the future. Both characters do face each other off at one point in the Marvel comics. Whether Marvel will follow that storyline, however, is still up for discussion.

With fanbases as huge as Hiddlestoners and Cumber Collective, Marvel would be doing the entire world a disservice if they don't bring the two actors together on screen.

Should they meet each other as Dr. Strange and Loki in future Marvel movies, it would be interesting to see the real life friends in conflict on film. If would be amazing to see both British heartthrobs together as superheroes in one screen.

The duo's friendship started when they starred together in "War Horse" and even nominated each other for the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge last year.

Do you think Benedict Cumberbatch and Tom Hiddleston will really meet each other in a future Marvel crossover film? How do you think Tumblr and the Internet will react on that fateful day?
