After months of being silent, developers of the MMORPG "The Elder Scrolls Online" has finally updated their fans about the highly anticipated console release date.

The release which was originally announced to be in June 2014, will be again delayed to an unknown 2015 date.

While fans are speculating that Bethesda is using the strategy to slowly ease in the announcement of a possible cancellation of the console versions, "The Elder Scrolls Online" release date updates claim that game director Matt Firor explained that they are just taking their time to perfect the new release.

Firor explained that there are still work to be done and they can't risk to release the game just yet. One particular feature they're working hard on is the Justice and Champion Systems.

"First and foremost, we want to make sure that two of our most important systems still in development-the Justice and Champion Systems-are included in the console release. Those two systems will introduce a huge amount of content to the game, and we know everyone is looking forward to the new types of gameplay they provide," he explained.

As PC Gamer noted, "A more detailed breakdown of the Champion and Justice systems can be found in our July look at the future of The Elder Scrolls Online, but the short version is this: The Champion system will replace the current Veteran Rank system with one that rewards passive abilities via Skyrim-style constellations, while the Justice system will enable killing and robbing NPCs, which will result in bounties that other players can collect. ZeniMax began phasing in the Champion system with update 4-the third stage of that rollout will be included in the January update-and the Justice system will be implemented the same way."

Both the Champion and Justice systems willbe launched on January in time for TESO's Update 6.
