Benji Madden is allegedly too dirty for Cameron Diaz, which means the engagement is in danger with the "germaphobe" actress is on the verge of giving up due to his nasty habits.

According to the National Enquirer, the couple has been arguing over the living arrangements, particularly his less than hygienic habits. The tabloid claimed that Benji Madden and Cameron Diaz are total opposites because he's a mess and she's a germaphobe.

"Cameron's going nuts over Ben's filthy habits, and he's starting to feel like he's moved back in with his mom! The problem is they're both at a point where their habits are hard to change," the source said.

"She washes her hands incessantly and even opens doors with her elbows to avoid getting germs on her hands," the source added. "Cameron lost it after he left a pile of dirty laundry in the bathroom. Benji told her he'd had it and he feels like a naughty teenager living at home!"

Cameron Diaz and Benji Madden were reportedly engaged and they have been staying at her mansion in Los Angeles since last summer.

Meanwhile, MailOnline observed that Cameron Diaz seemed to be hiding her engagement ring while attending an event to promote "Annie" on Univision's Despierta America in Miami, Florida.

Putting her left hand on her pocket seemed like strange behavior especially since Cameron Diaz was wearing a purple floral dress. "Meanwhile, the rings on Cameron's left hand include a gold wedding-style band, and a sparkling diamond, most similar to an engagement ring," it said.

The source told Enquirer that Cameron Diaz and Benji Madden's engagement seems to be fine for now as the two have agreed to do something about the situation. "She realizes she went too far over something minor. They kissed and made up less than an hour after he walked out. She said she'll chill more, and he agreed to tidy up after himself," the source said.
