New "Half Life 3" release date rumors have surfaced.

As if previous rumors were not enough, new reports suggest that the much awaited third installment could finally be revealed by 2015.

As Master Herald reported, "Half-Life 3 may exist. Whether it's true or not, this is being suggested by Swedish Videogame Store Webhallen, where recently a brand new retail listing has been found. According to the information provided in the barebones product page, it seems that we may get to experience a 2015 release for the PC platform."

"Webhallen is a relatively popular games retailer. As a result of which this newly released rumor could still be genuine. From 2005-2013, the entire chain was owned by Amazon itself. Till date, it consists of nine different Swedish stores along with a well-referenced online marketplace."

"Although this sounds quite in reference to places like GameStop in the U.S, it is still a well-managed distribution channel for Sweden. Swedish Gamers surely trust the branding of 'Webhallen'. However, it remains to be seen whether the rest of the world should."

Several reports have hinted that the thrid installment to Valve's popular title is underway, but no official and sound proof have been shown about the said rumors. Leaked artworks were revealed, but they were proven to be studies of a different game.

Several gaming sites have suggested that fans of the franchise should just stop waiting for any "Half Life 3" release date announcements, because it probably will not ever materialize.

Previous reports claim that the only hope the 3rd installment could ever be released is if Valve decides to outsource the game to a different developer.

JBG News reported that in Dan Amrich's (Ubisoft San Francisco community developer) interview with IGN, he mentioned that Valve should just let someone else do it if they're uninterested to keep the franchise alive.

"According to him, Valve might want to look towards Gearbox if they'd want to follow this path. Gearbox did handle the two expansions of the original Half Life (Blue Shift and Opposing Force), both of which were quite good and are considered canon," the side said.
