For the hardware and OS, the Sony Xperia Z1 Compact is equipped with the Snapdragon 800 chipset accompanied by a quad-core processor, clocked at 2.3GHz, and 2GB RAM. The Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini lhas a dual core processor clocked at 1.7GHz, and a 1.5GB RAM.
The Samsung device runs on latest Android based operating system, while the Sony device Compact runs on the Android 4.2. and is yet to get an update of version 4.2.2.
For the camera specs, the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini has a 8MP camera, while the Sony Xperia Z1 Compact has a 20.7MP camera. Both have additional camera features as the manual camera options provided on the Sony handset offers a superb photography experience, while the Samsung handset features panorama, beauty face, sound and shoot and lastly, the continuous shot.
The Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini cost $420, while the Sony Xperia Z1 Compact cost $750.
