The only upset in today's kdramastars vote for the best drama, actor and actress is the slow but steady move up by one popular actress.
That actress is Kim So Eun. She moved into second place today behind first place winner Park Shin Hye.
While Park Shin Hye, the star of "Pinocchio," does seem to have an unbeatable lead, with 61.49 percent of the vote, Kim So Eun has slowly risen in the rankings.
Kim So Eun scored 8.55 percent of the vote, slightly ahead of Jun Ji Hyun, star of "You Who Came From The Stars," who scored 8.47 percent. Yesterday Kim So Eun was in fourth place and the day before she was not even in the top five.
It has been a good year for Kim So Eun. She has been a fan favorite since she appeared in "Boys Over Flowers," but she earned new fans this year when she starred in "The Liar Game" with Lee Sang Yoon and Shin Sung Rok. Her popularity also rose when she appeared on "We Got Married" with Song Jae Rim. They were one of the program's most popular couples to date.
Rounding out the actress category was "Angel Eyes" star Gu Hye Sun at 6.04 percent and "Emergency Couple" star Song Ji Hyo at 5.24 percent.
In the actor category, the order remained pretty much the same with CNBlue's Jung Yong Hwa claiming first place. His role as Park Dal Hyang in "The Three Musketeers" earned him 41.65 percent of the vote.
Following him are "Pinocchio" star Lee Jong Suk with a competitive 34.78 percent of the vote, previous first place winner Kim Soo Hyun with 10.47 percent, JYJ's Kim Jaejoong with 4.23 percent and Jo In Sung with 2.52 percent.
"Pinocchio" remains the number one drama with a seemingly unbeatable 60.7 percent of the vote. The drama is way ahead of "You Who Came From The Stars" which has 15.44 percent of the vote and "It's Okay It's Love" at 6.38 percent. In fourth place is "Doctor Stranger," which starred Lee Jong Suk, Jin Se Yeon, Park Hae Jin and Kang So Ra. That drama about a North Korean defector and genius doctor earned 3.09 of today's vote. In fifth place was another medical drama, "Emergency Couple" with 2.9 percent of the vote. "The Night Watchman's Journal," starring Jung Il Woo, dropped out of the top five with only 2.85 percent of the vote.
Is "Pinocchio" a sure bet to win? That depends on how many people vote for it and how often they vote.
