Fans of Peter Venkman, Ray Stantz, Egon Spengler, and Winston Zeddemore are excited about "Ghostbusters 3", but we may not see any of the main characters in the third installment. Actually, this m0ay not be a continuation of the previous movies because they are planning to do a remake.
Sony Pictures got Paul Feig to direct the new "Ghostbusters" movie and he announced that it will star hilarious women. Bill Murray liked the idea and he even dished out some names of actresses that he thinks fits the role. Included in his list were Emma Stone, Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, and Linda Cardellini.
Just recently, another big time actress was revealed to be in negotiations to star in "Ghostbusters 3". The new information was based on the hacked emails from Sony. The email reportedly came from Hannah Minghella of Columbia Pictures. She wrote, "There is one male part Paul is planning. How insane would that be... He also wants Jennifer [Lawrence] and Emma [Stone]."
The male part would allegedly be given to Ryan Gosling; so it seems that the "Ghostbusters 3" cast is being ramped up. They are getting some of the biggest names in Hollywood today to help boost the remake since it isn't easy to surpass the success of the first "Ghostbusters" movie.
During an interview with Jennifer Lawrence for her latest film "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1", the actress revealed that she had talked to the "Bridesmaids" director Paul Feig. Mail Online reported her saying, "I actually met with the director. I had dinner with him. I sure did."
Her co-star Josh Hutcherson teased her and said, "Don't cross those streams whatever you do." Jennifer replied, "I never cross streams." Another actress who showed interest in "Ghostbusters 3" is Elizabeth Banks. The 40-year old actress said, "I want to be in it for sure, with Melissa McCarthy." What do you think of the new lineup for the remake?
