Alicia Keys welcomed her new baby, said a report from Us Weekly. The "Girl On Fire" singer also took to Twitter to share how she is "grateful" for her second child with husband Swizz Beatz.
The music power couple's new son, who weighed 6 pounds and 5 ounces, was born early morning of December 27.
Alicia Keys named the baby Genesis Ali Dean.
The Grammy-winning diva took to Instagram to share a photo announcing the birth of the newest member of her family. The snapshot showed the stamped footprints of Alicia Keys' new baby, and was captioned: "The joy of joy is joy!! It's a boy!! we are so grateful!! #blessings!!"
Prior to Alicia Keys' new baby, she and Swizz Beatz have a toddler son named Egypt. According to an earlier report from Yahoo News, the big brother has been excited about the baby's arrival. Alicia Keys narrated: "He comes up and kisses the belly all the time, and he's always asking, 'Mommy, can the baby be in the bed with me?'"
"I'm like, 'well not at the beginning,'" Alicia Keys laughed.
When asked about the preferred gender of the baby, Alicia Keys told news that Egypt wanted to have a baby brother.
Alicia Keys' husband was also excited about their second child, and threw a baby shower just weeks before the expected arrival of their second child. The R&B songstress looked radiant in the photos from her baby shower, which her music producer husband shared on social media.
On one Instagram photo, the Grammy winner posed along with her father-in-law and Swizz Beatz, who captioned the image "Baby Vibes".
Swizz Beatz also could not seem to hide his excitement with the upcoming arrival of their second baby. On one image, the 36-year-old held a toast for Alicia Keys, who was then still expecting, and captioned the photo: "#blessings #almostready".
