Kanye West's new song "Only One" appears to be a dedication to Baby North and Kim Kardashian.
Kanye West's "Only One" is the first track on Yeezus' next album, which hasn't been named yet, and the song was a result of a collaboration with Beatles legend Paul McCartney.
According to the press release published on Pitchfork, the two started working on the Kanye West's new song early last year.
"When they played back the recording afterward, something remarkable happened. Kanye sat there with his family, holding his daughter North on his lap, and listened to his vocals, singing, 'Hello, my only one . . . ' And in that moment, not only could he not recall having sung those words, but he realized that perhaps the words had never really come from him," it said.
"My mom was singing to me, and through me to my daughter," Kanye West said.
The multiple Grammy winner then added that the name Kanye means "only one."
His wife, Kim Kardashian, quickly warmed up to the song.
In a series of tweets, Kim Kardashian said that Kanye West's "Only One" is now her favorite song.
"People always ask me what my favorite Kanye song is and it's Only One. Kanye feels like his mom sang thru him to our daughter," she wrote.
Kim Kardashian added: "I cry every time I hear this song."
The "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" star also took the opportunity to address the rumored impending divorce between her and husband Kanye West. She tweeted: "Kanye & I are not having marriage problems. We're literally obsessed with each other!"
According to The Verge, Kanye West's "Only One" is the first of the many songs collaborated by the self-proclaimed genius and Paul McCartney. "There's no word on exactly how much material Paul McCartney and Kanye West have recorded together," it said.
