If new reports are true, Uncharted 4 could get an October 2015 release date. Fans are however worried that Naughty Dog might fail to deliver the hyper realistic visuals they have presented when the sneak peek trailer was revealed at the E3 2014 event.
According to The Fuse Jopelin, "A heated argument is underway over the Uncharted 4 graphical downgrade. A group of players suggest that people should start seeing the difference between the trailer of a game and the actual game play video."
"Others suggest that the developers were simply misleading people to boost pre-orders while the actual launch is highly limited by the hardware specifications found on next generation console," the article continued.
The highly anticpated release boasts of outstanding and realistic visuals. And while some are currently not blown-away with the gameplay previews Naughty Dog has released, many are saying that the new game will be awesome on the next-gen console PS4.
As Business Insider noted, "The 'next-generation' gaming consoles, the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, have been on the market for exactly a year now. So even though they're technically "current-generation," people still have yet to see a game that truly uses the power of these new machines."
And as Latin Times reported, "Initial speculations suggest that the upcoming "Uncharted" title will not launch until late 2015 as the three previous titles of Uncharted were released between the months of October through December. That said, it is possible that game developer Naughty Dog is applying a new strategy given the massive amount of success they have enjoyed since they released "The Last of Us" in July. Could July be Naughty Dog's ideal release date for "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" after all?"
The 4th and last installment has been previously rumored to have a July 2015 release date, but Brett Helwani of GameNow has reported that the Sony hackers have uncovered documents alleging that the Uncharted 4release date is set for October 2015.
With new Uncharted 4 rumors circulating, Sony Computer Entertainment Australia and New Zealand Managing Director Michael Ephraim still play coy when asked about any release date updates.
"We don't know, that's the honest answer. We're very excited about it and I think that title will be massive. It's a very popular franchise; in fact it's our number one first-party franchise," he told Stevivor.
"Of course, Uncharted will be the highlight of the year for us though."
