Keith Urban played supportive husband to Nicole Kidman during the "Paddington" premiere in Los Angeles. The "American Idol" judge confessed that the death of his wife's father was a huge blow to the family.
On Saturday morning, Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman held hands as they walked along the red carpet for the premiere of the children's film ahead of the Golden Globes.
The Daily Mail noted that the only the "Paddington" bear mascot, garbed in blue raincoat and red hat, was dressed appropriately for the rainy weather.
"Nicole wore a dark, shimmery halter top, which coordinated with a long skirt that featured a small slit up the one side," it said. "Both the top and skirt were embellished with small silver buttons, and the actress sported a pair of grey heels."
Nicole Kidman's husband, meanwhile, wore an all-black casual ensemble which he paired with a black blazer and black workman's boots.
In another interview, Keith Urban said that the death of Nicole Kidman's father is still fresh from their memory.
"The loss of Nic's dad was just a huge, huge ... I can't even describe what that moment was like for our family," he said. "I was very, very close to Nic's dad. It's (still) very fresh. It's very recent. You lose a family member and you're reminded of the brevity of life and the fragility of it and how it can go very, very quickly."
As a result, the country music star claimed that he has fresh perspective about the importance of family, adding that he spends quality time with Nicole Kidman and their two daughters, Sunday Rose and Faith.
"I don't want to miss any of it - none of it," he said. "I don't want to miss any time with Nic or our family. Eight years of sobriety has an impact on the way I feel in the world that I didn't use to. It's had an incredible effect on my life."
Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman has been hounded with divorce rumors for the good part of last year.
