The Samsung Galaxy S5 has a Super AMOLED display measuring 5.5 inches, which renders a resolution of 1080×1920 pixels at 432ppi. Meanwhile, the Galaxy Note 4 has the same Super AMOLED display but at 5.7 inches, and supports a resolution of 1440×2560 pixels at 515ppi. It's dimensions are 153.5×78.6×8.5 mm, weighs 176 grams, and has the Corning Gorilla Glass 4 for protection.

Although consumers prefer the Galaxy S5, the Fuse Joplin claims that in terms of built and quality, the Galaxy Note 4 is more suitable than the S5 smartphone.

According to GSMArena, the Samsung Galaxy S5 has a Qualcomm MSM8974AC Snapdragon 801 processor, with a Quad-core 2.5 GHz Krait 400 CPU, and Andreno 330 GPU. The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 hardware specs includes a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 Krait 450 processor, with Quad-core 2.7 GHz Krait 450, and Adreno 420 GPU. For the operating systems, the Galaxy S5 runs on the Android v4.4.2 KitKat, which can be upgraded into the v5.0 (Lollipop), while the Galaxy Note 4 runs on the Android v4.4.4 KitKat, and is will soon have av5.0 Lollipop upgrade.

The Galaxy S5 comes with a 2800 mAh unit, while the Galaxy Note 4 sports a 3220 mAh battery. At the same time, Samsung also included an extra power saving mode on the Galaxy Note 4, which extends the battery life so it lasts a lot longer than the Galaxy S5
