The iPhone 6 Plus has the largest display that any Apple phone till date. GSMArena stated that the Apple phablet has 5.5 inch LED-backlit IPS LCD display, which can render a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels with a pixel density of 401 ppi. The iPhone 6 Plus has a shutter proof glass, and an oleophobic coating for protection. Its dimensions are 158.1 x 77.8 x 7.1 mm, and weighs 172 grams.
The Samsung Galaxy Alpha on the other hand, has a 4.7 inch Super AMOLED display, that can render 720 x 1280 pixels resolution with 401 ppi. The Samsung device is protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass 4. Its dimensions are 132.4 x 65.5 x 6.7 mm, and weighs 115 grams making lighter than its rival.
For the hardware and OS, the iPhone 6 Plus is powered by the Apple A8 chipset. The Apple device has dual-core 1.4 GHz Cyclone CPU partnered with a PowerVR GX6450 quad core for graphics. It has three variants of internal memory:16, 64, and 128 GB, with an additional 1 GB of RAM. It runs on the iOS 8, which can be upgraded into the iOS 8.1.2 software.
The Samsung Galaxy Alpha has a Exynos 5 Octa 5430, and has two quadcore variants: 1.8 GHz Cortex-A15, and a 1.3 GHz Cortex-A7. The Samsung smartphone has a Mali-T628 MP6, and it has two internal memories: 32 GB, and 2 GB of RAM. Its software runs on the Android O v4.4.4 (KitKat), but Samsung plans on upgrading it into the v5.0 (Lollipop) version.
The iPhone 6 Plus has a non-removable Li-Po battery with a capacity of 2915 mAh, while the Samsung Galaxy Alpha has Li-Ion battery at 1860 mAh. The Apple device last longer at 24 hours in talktime, and 360 hours in 3G, while the Samsung device can last 11 hours, and 350 hours also in 3G.
On the camera department, The Apple phablet has a 8MP camera with features such as optical image stabilization, phase detection autofocus, dual-LED (dual tone) flash, and more. The Samsung device has a better camera of 12MP with features a dual camera, geo-tagging, touch focus, face/smile detection, panorama, HDR etc.
According to the Fuse Joplin, The Samsung Galaxy Alpha cost around $530 for the 32 GB variant in the unlocked version, while the iPhone 6 Plus is around $810.
