We compare the Motorola Droid Turbo against the Nexus 6 to see which device is worth the purchase.

The Nexus 6's screen is a 5.96 inch AMOLED display, which was developed by Samsung. It renders a powerful resolution of 1440×2560 pixels at 493ppi. The Motorala Droid Turbo on the other hand, has a Super AMOLED screen measuring 5.2 inches. It can also render a resolution of 1440×2560pixels, but the pixel density is at 565ppi.

According to the Fuse Joplin, the design of the Nexus 6 is somewhat similar to the Moto X 2014, because of its brushed metal frame and body. It has thin bezels and a soft plastic back, but it’s very robust because of its thickness of 10.1 mm and height at 159.33 mm. Meanwhile, the Motorola handset has metal-coated fiberglass and military-grade ballistic nylon, which results in a Kevlar finish.

Both smartphones have powerful quad-core 2.7GHz Krait 450 processor, which is backed by a 32bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 chipset and an Adreno 420 graphics, with 3GB of RAM. They also have two variants of internal memory of 32 and 64GB. The Nexus 6 operating system is the Android 5.0 (Lollipop), while the Motorola Droid Turbo operates in the Android OS, v4.4.4 (KitKat), but GSMArena stated that the handset will have a v5.0 (Lollipop) upgrade soon.

The Nexus 6's rear camera has been upgraded into 13MP, and has several features such as optical image stabilization, dual-LED flash, HDR and more. Motorola Droid Turbo on the other hand, has a 21MP shooter, and almost the same features except for the optical image stabilization. Both handset have front cameras of 2MP.

The Nexus 6 has a 3220 mAh battery, which can last up to 24 hours of talking time, and also has the turbo charging feature that extends the battery life for 6 hours. The Motorola Moto Droid Turbo has a 3900 mAh battery which can last up to 48 hours on 3G, and an additional 8 hours in turbo charge.

According to Amazon.com, the Nexus 6 32GB cost $835, and the 64GB variant is at $915. The Motorola Droid Turbo 32GB is at $900, and the 64GB variant is $100, which make it more expensive than its rival.
