According to the reports from the Fuse Joplin, the Samsung Galaxy Note 3' design has a plastic cover with faux leather pattern, which everyone has noticed. The Samsung device has a rectangular shape, with rounded corners and a silver frame surrounding the edges, and has the S Pen Stylus. It weighs 168 grams, and its dimensions are 151.2 x 79.2 x 8.3 mm. The Samsung device has 5.7 inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels at 386 ppi, and its protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass 3.

The Huawei Ascend Mate 7 on the other hand, has a body is made of aluminum, which kinda looks like an HTC smartphone, and its protected also by the Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The Huawei smartphone weighs heavier at 185 grams, and its dimensions are 157 x 81 x 7.9 mm. Its display is a IPS LCD screen measuring 6 inches, that renders a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels at 368ppi.

The Huawei Ascend Mate 7 has a HiSilicon Kirin 925 chipset that supports an octa core processor that consist of the quad core 1.8GHz Cortex-A15 CPU and a quad core 1.3GHz Cortex-A7 CPU. They are partnered with Mali-T628 GPU, and 2GB RAM (16GB) or 3GB RAM (32GB ).

Meanwhile, the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is equipped with a qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quad core 2.3GHz Krait 400 processor with Adreno 330 GPU, while another version is powered by Exynos 5 Octa 5420 octa core processor with two quad core processors clocked at 1.9GHz and 1.3GHz, partnered with a Mali-T628 MP6 GPU and 3GB of RAM.

According to GSMArena, both devices have microSD card slots, but the Mate 7 can expand at 128GB, while the Note 3 can reach 64GB. The Huawei hanset runs on the Android OS, v4.4.2 (KitKat), while the Samsung phablet runs on the Android OS, v4.3 (Jelly Bean), which can be upgraded to v4.4.2 (KitKat), and is planned to have the v5.0 (Lollipop) upgrade.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 has a 13MP primary shooter with features like dual Shot, simultaneous HD video and image recording, geo-tagging, touch focus, face/smile detection, panorama, HDR, autofocus, and LED flash. The secondary camera is at 2MP, the battery is a Li-Ion at a capacity of 3200 mAh, that last 21 hours of talktime (3G).

The Huawei Ascend Mate 7 has also a 13MP primary camera, but the secondary is at 5MP. Its features include autofocus, LED flash, geo-tagging, face detection, HDR, and panorama. The battery is a mon-removable Li-Po at 4100 mAh.

The price for the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is at $530, while the Huawei Ascend Mate 7 16GB version cost $870.
