We compare the Microsoft Lumia 532 against the Xiaomi Redmi 1S to see which smartphone is worth the purchase!

The Microsoft Lumia 532 has the same design as the Lumia smartphones, but it but features a semi-transparent layered design, its back is slightly curved on the edges, and the corners are almost sharp. Its display is a 4 inch WVGA LCD screen with a resolution of 480×800 pixels at 233ppi. Its dimensions are 118.9 x 65.5 x 11.6 mm, and weighs 136.3 grams.

According to the Fuse Joplin, the Xiaomi Redmi 1S has as a similar body shape like its rival, with a plastic back panel that is prone to fingerprints and smudges, just like the front panel. Its display is a IPS LCD measuring 4.7 inches, and can render an impressive resolution of 720×1,280 pixels at 312ppi pixel density. Its physical dimensions are 137 x 69 x 9.9 mm, and weighs 158 grams, making it bigger and heavier than its rival.

The Microsoft Lumia 532 is processor is a qualcomm Snapdragon 200 quad core clocked at 1.2GHz, with 1GB of RAM. It has an Adreno 302 GPU for graphics, and its internal memory is at 8 GB, but it can reach 128 GB with a microSD card. The smartphone runs on the Windows Phone 8.1.

The Xiaomi Redmi 1S is equipped with a quad core Cortex A7 processor clocked at 1.6GHz, being based on a Qualcomm MSM8228 Snapdragon chipset and it’s backed by Adreno 305 graphics, with 1GB of RAM. Its internal memory is also the same as the Lumia, 8 GB, and can expand at 32 GB with an microSD card. Its software is the Android v4.3 (Jelly Bean).

The Lumia 532 has a primary camera at 5MP, with a VGA rear camera, and its battery is Li-Ion at 1560 mAh capacity, which last 21 hours in 2G, and 12 hours in 3G.

The Redmi 1S is equipped with a 8MP primary camera with features such as 1.4 µm pixel size, geo-tagging, touch focus, face/smile detection, HDR etc. The secondary is at 1.6 MP, and the battery is Li-Ion one at 2000 mAh capacity.

The Fuse Joplin stated that the Microsoft Lumia 532 costs $93, while the Xaiomi Redmi 1S is at $150.
