We compare the Galaxy Core against the Galaxy S Duos 2 to see which Samsung smartphone is the better purchase.

According to the specs form GSMArena, The Samsung Galaxy Core has a bigger TFT display at 4.3 inches with a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels at 217 ppi, while the Galaxy S Duos 2 has a 4 inch TFT screen that renders the same resolution, but at 233 ppi pixel density. The Galaxy Core's dimension are 129.3 x 67.6 x 9 mm, and weighs 124 grams, while the Galaxy S Duso 2 has the dimensions of 121.5 x 63.1 x 10.6 mm, and is lighter at 118 grams.

The Samsung Galaxy Core is equipped with the Snapdragon MSM8225 S4 Play Dual-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A5, partnered with the Adreno 203 for graphics. It has 1 GB of Ram, and an internal memory of 8 GB, which can expand up to 64 GB with a microSD card.

The Galaxy S Duos 2 has a Dual-core Cortex-A9 clocked also at 1.2 GHz, and partnered with a Broadcom VideoCore IV GPU. It has 768 MB of RAM with an internal memory of 4GB, but its also expandable up to 64 GB.

Both operate on the Android operating systems. The Galaxy Core runs on the Android OS, v4.1.2 (Jelly Bean), while the Galaxy S Duos 2 runs on the Android OS, v4.2.2 (Jelly Bean).

Both The Galaxy Core and Galaxy S Duos 2 have 5MP primary cameras, as well as VGA with the same features such as geo-tagging, touch focus, face/smile detection etc. However, the Galaxy S Duos 2 can record videos at 720p@30fps, which trumps the Galaxy Core that records 480p@30fps.
