Johnny Depp doesn't know if it's already been a year since his engagement to Amber Heard, or at least that what he seemed to be saying.
In an interview with E! News to promote "Mortdecai," the interviewer asked Johnny Depp about how it is celebrating a the first anniversary of his engagement to Amber Heard.
The "Pirates of the Caribbean" star appeared to be confused as he said, "I don't know" while looking around.
He repeated: "I don't know" before turning to his co-star Paul Bethany, "Do you know?"
Paul Bethany then rescued him by suggesting that the question seemed to be their engagement to each other. To which Johnny Depp replied: "It's been years."
"E! News had learned about his and Heard's engagement in January 2014, after Heard was spotted wearing a massive diamond engagement ring on her ring finger. Depp confirmed the news the following March, while sporting a 'chick's' diamond ring himself, that the two planned to wed," the article noted.
Johnny Depp is known to be very private about his love life. Rumors last year alleged that the 51-year-old was supposed to marry his 28-year-old fiance in December of 2014 but that didn't materialize.
But he did talk about his fiancee in an interview with OK magazine as he said, "She's a strong, brilliant woman who has a lot to say. That combination is pretty devastating."
He also talked about meeting somebody at the right time. Every year you get a little bit older, a little bit wiser then you meet someone.... It's interesting to realize that you're able to dedicate your life to one person, to love them as you do your children," he added.
Prior to his engagement with Amber Heard, Johnny Depp was married to Lori Anne Allison and was also engaged for four years to Sherilyn Fenn of "Boxing Helena." After that, he got engaged to Jennifer Grey of "Dirty Dancing" and finally Winona Ryder and their relationship lasted three years.
