We compare Apple's new iPhone 6 against Samsung's old Galaxy S4 to know which of these smartphones is the better purchase.

The Samsung Galaxy S4 has a 5 inch Super AMOLED display, that can render a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels at 441 ppi pixel density. Its dimensions are 136.6 x 69.8 x 7.9 mm, weighs 130 grams, and a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for protection.
According to the Fuse Joplin, the Samsung Galaxy S4 has two pairs of processors: quad-core 1.6 GHz Cortex-A15 , and quad-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A7, partnered with a Exynos 5 Octa 5410, and PowerVR SGX544MP3 for graphics. It has 2GB of RAM, and has three variants of internal memory at 16, 32, and 64GB with a microSD card. It originally ran on the Android OS, v4.2.2 (Jelly Bean), and will now have a v5.0 (Lollipop) upgrade soon.
The iPhone 6 on the other hand, has Dual-core Cyclone clocked at 1.4 GHz,paired with the new Apple A8, and PowerVR GX6450 for graphics. It has 1GB of RAM, and has several variants of internal memories: 16, 64, and128 GB. It runs on the iOS 8, upgradable to iOS 8.1.2 version.

The Apple iPhone 6 on the other hand, has a 8MP primary camera, and a 1.2MP secondary one. Its features include phase detection autofocus, dual-LED (dual tone) flash,1/3'' sensor size, 1.5µm pixel size, geo-tagging, simultaneous HD video and image recording, touch focus, face/smile detection, and HDR (photo/panorama). According to the Fuse Joplin, the Samsung Galaxy S4 is worth $400 off contract, while the iPhone 6 is around $650.
