We compare the Nokia XL and LG Volt to see which of these devices is the better purchase.
The Nokia XL has a 5 inch AMOLED screen that can render 480 x 800 pixels at 187 ppi pixel density. The Nokia device weighs heavier than its rival at 190 grams and its dimensions are 141.4 x 77.7 x 10.9 mm. The LG Volt phone on the other hand, has smaller IPS LCD screen a 4.7 inches, which can render a resolution at 540 x 960 pixels with a 234 ppi pixel density. It protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass 2, weighs less at 136.1 grams, and its dimensions are 131.6 x 66 x 10.4 mm.
The Nokia XL is equipped with a dual-core processor at 1 GHz, paired with Qualcomm MSM8225 Snapdragon S4 Play chipset. It has an Adreno 203 GPU, a 4GB internal memory, and 768 MB of RAM (which can expand up to 32GB with a microSD card).
Meanwhile, the LG G Volt is equipped with a quad-core processor clocked 1.2 GHz, partnered with a Qualcomm MSM8926 Snapdragon 400, and an Adreno 305 for graphics. It has RAM capacity of 1GB, and internal memory of 8GB.
Both devices have the Android softwares: Android OS, v4.1.2 (Jelly Bean) for the Nokia XL, and Android OS, v4.4.2 (KitKat) for the LG Volt.
According to the specs from GSMArena, the Nokia XL has a 5MP primary shooter, while its secondary camera is at 2MP. Its features are 1/4'' sensor size, panorama, and face detection, and its battery has a cpacity of 2000 mAh which can last up to 13 hours.
Meanwhile, the LG G Volt is equipped with a better primary camera at 8MP, but its secondary camera is at 1.2MP. It has a Li-Ion 3000 mAh battery tha can last 24 hours in 3G.
Amazon.com stated that the LG Volt is worth $150, while the Nokia XL is about $190 in India.
