"The Big Bang Theory" Season 8 cast Mayim Bialik shared the behind-the-scenes of what it's like to prepare for an award show.

The Daily Mail noted that the 39-year-old actress was the first celebrity to share her preparations for the Screen Actors Guild Awards presentation on Sunday.

In one of the selfies, she posted an image of herself with a coffee on one hand as she prepared to apply makeup to her face with a brush. She captioned the image: "Getting SAG, #AwardSeason,#RedCarpet ready."

"Moments later the 39-year-old actress posted a photo of her getting her hair fixed writing: 'Getting ready with @Robertramosprod is always good times'" it said.

"The Big Bang Theory" Season 8 cast Mayim Bialik, along with her fellow cast mates, was nominated in the Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series category.

In an earlier interview with Biography, the actress credited her extended family, who were Jewish immigrants, for her sense of humor.

"Once you become aware that you don't look like a leading lady and maybe your voice doesn't sound like a leading lady, you learn to kind of go with it - if you're looking to get paid to perform," she said. "You learn to go after the cool, funky character parts, which is something I've always loved anyway."

That's the reason why Mayim Bialik thought being part of the cast of "The Big Bang Theory" was perfect for her, even when she admitted that she auditioned at first because she just want a job to pay for health insurance after becoming a mother.

"I was a weird kid. I was a weird teenager. I'm a weird adult," she added. "It's funny because in some sense I feel like maybe I'm less of an impressive actor, because I'm strange in real life. But yeah, "character actor" works for me."
