Fans of "How to Get Away with Murder" have formed their own theories about who killed who, but as new reports suggest, they might be in for a big surprise when the riveting series return this week.
Showrunner Pete Nowalk dished on the murders that happened in an interview with TIME. He said, "In the first half, it was who killed Sam? And now we know who killed Sam."
"Now there's still the mystery of who killed Lila. They killed Sam because he killed Lila, and now we really need to find out if that's true."
He also hinted on the guilt and paranoia that has started to creep in the students post Sam's murder.
"The second half of this season is all about how are they going to get away with this murder they actually committed," he said. "All the sudden they're feeling guilt and paranoia and fear and distrust of their friends. Is anyone's going to confess or are they actually going to get away with this? I think these students came to school pretty naive and we're going to watch them become much more grown up in a way that they probably don't even want to be."
And what else can fans expect from the remaining 6 "How to Get Away with Murder" episodes?
"It's not gonna go how you expect. We pick up very soon after where Episode 9 ended. We are not doing flash-forwards, per se. We do play with time in different episodes. We felt for the final six that we want to put that device away because we had done it. A lot of the questions that we started with will be answered. How much do Bonnie and Frank know? In terms of what happens with Rebecca's trial, that will be resolved," Nowalk shared in a different interview.
New episodes air January 29 on ABC.
