We compare the Galaxy S4 Mini and the Galaxy Grand 2 to see which Samsung smartphone is the better purchase.
According to the GSMArena, the Galaxy S4 Mini has a small Super AMOLED screen at 4.3 inches, which can render a resolution of 540 x 960 pixels at 256 ppi pixel density. Its physical dimensions are 124.6 x 61.3 x 8.9 mm, and weighs 107 grams.
Meanwhile, the Galaxy Grand 2 is equipped with a bigger TFT display at 5.25 inches, and can render a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels at 280 ppi. It dimensions are at 146.8 x 75.3 x 8.9 mm, and its heavier at 163 grams.
In terms of hardware and operating systems, the Galaxy S4 Mini is equipped with the Dual-core processor at 1.7 GHz, powered by a Qualcomm MSM8930AB Snapdragon 400 chipset, and an Adreno 305 graphics. The Galaxy Grand 2 has Quad-core clocked at 1.2 GHz, being paired up with the same chipset and GPU. Both smartphones are equipped with an 8GB internal memory, and 1.5GB RAM, which can reach up to 64GB with a microSD card.
However, the Galaxy S4 Mini' software is the Android OS, v4.2.2 (Jelly Bean), while the Galaxy Grand 2 is the Android OS, v4.3 (Jelly Bean), and both softwares will have the v4.4.2 (KitKat) upgrade.
Both smartphones have the same camera capacity of 8MP,and 1.9 MP with features such as autofocus, LED flash, geo-tagging, touch focus, and more. The Grand 2 has bigger battery capacity at 2600 mAh, which last 17 hours in 3G, while the S4 Mini is at 1900 mAh, and last 12 hours in 3G.
The Galaxy S4 Mini price is at $420, while the Galaxy Grand 2 is worth $330 in the market.
