Jeremy Lin is trying to relive his "Linsanity" days at the Madison Square Garden. However, the point guard's pleasant memories are not enough to help the Los Angeles Lakers win.

During the match between Los Angeles Lakers and New York Knicks, Jeremy Lin got the change to relive his days when he started for then Mike D'Antoni's team when Carmelo Anthony was injured. But it wasn't enough, as he only scored four points and dished seven assists.

"Every time I come back, I always have great memories. I remember those great times," he told the New York Post. "I'm always thankful. Coming back to New York with these fans at the Garden, that was very special to me and I'll always cherish that."

During the "Linsanity" era with the New York Knicks, Jeremy Lin averaged 24.6 points and 9.2 assists per game as a starter playing for Mike D'Antoni, the coach who was booted by the Los Angeles Lakers at the end of last season.

Knicks coach Derek Fisher, who was playing with Kobe Bryant for Los Angeles at that time, recalled that the "Linsanity" era was really "front page stuff."

"It was great for everybody just because Jeremy represented more of the everyday guy out there having success on the basketball court as opposed to guys that they feel like somehow are naturally gifted to do those things," he said. "Jeremy represented something that spoke to everybody. It was a fun period."

Meanwhile, Jeremy Lin might be taking "Linsanity" elsewhere as he couldn't seem to fit with the Los Angeles Lakers.

The Los Angeles Lakers point guard told Sheridan Hoops, "I'm keeping my options open and see what's out there. I'm just going to evaluate everything when the time comes because right now you could say stuff, but it doesn't really matter until I'm presented (with something) at the time because I don't know what the landscape is going to look like."
