"Half Life 3" release date rumors continue to send the internet into a frenzy. With a lot of gamers' theories and speculations, it would really be hard to give up the idea that Valve will no longer continue with the highly anticipated 3rd installment.
What fan sites are pointing out recently is that Valve could actually be producing the game, but has decided to keep everything a secret. Others are suggesting that Valve might even surprise fans with a very unique "Half Life 3" release date announcement, as the developers are quite known for spilling the beans in an unconventional manner.
"While this might sound ridiculous to many, it is actually very likely to happen. The fans pointed out that Valve love to announce game in a different, more creative manner. Looking at the upcoming Portal 2, the game was announced through an Easter egg in an MMORPG," Motoring Crunch reported
"With that being said, there is a chance for the fans to be right after all. After being put to more than a decade of wait, it seems that the fans have got nothing to lose. Let's just hope the conspiracy theory method works."
Sadly, these speculations are all founded on fan theories. If gamers are looking for official statements from Valve, they'll realize that the developers have actually denied "Half Life 3" release date rumors in the past. Valve co-founder Gabe Newell's has even made it clear that the highly anticipated release is not in production, and should the game materialize, it won't be anytime soon.
However the Valve exec also shared that they were quite surprised to see the clamour for the 3rd installment. Could this eventually coerce the developers to eventually produce "Half Life 3?"
"But the takeaway from this is the fact that Newell did not deny the possibility of production. He simply meant it's not 'currently in production," Ecumenical News reported.
"He also admitted that they can consider creating the game due to the very strong interest shown by fans. So, if fans are going to keep up the clamor for a sequel, the big bosses at Valve may just listen and give in."
